2021年新種ヨコエビを振り返って（12月度活動報告）

　記載者については、基本的に論文中あるいは私信で明言のある場合につけています。今年は千葉県沖の深海底からワレカラの新種等もありましたが、本稿では旧ヨコエビ亜目に含まれる分類群のみを対象としております。

　アルジェリアから Echinogammarus 属の新種を記載。2020年12月に公開されましたが論文の巻号が21年であったため今年としました。無料で読めます。

Opisa parvimana

 　韓国から Opisidae科 フトヒゲソコエビ類 の1新種を記載するとともに、本邦で記載されていた Opisa takafuminakanoi の新産地を報告。本文までタダで読めます。

Princaxelia marianaensis

 　マリアナ海溝から Pardaliscidae科 の1新種を記載。昨年記載されそうでされなかった種です。この属は肉食性で、他の深海ヨコエビを捕食する様子が Nスぺ で紹介され、お茶の間に届けられたこともあります。科以下の和名は未提唱のようです。本文までタダで読めます。

　沖縄の海中洞窟からセバヨコエビ科の1新種を記載。Seborgia属9種の検索表を提供。本文は有料。

Panamapisa guaymii

　パナマから センドウヨコエビ科 の1新属新種を記載。パナマ地峡からセンドウヨコエビ科が出たのは初めてとのこと。第3尾肢が長いことで有名な本科ですが、この属は特にその特徴が発達しています（カラー写真）。アブストにまあまあ詳しい他属との識別点を掲載。

　とんでもない大論文が出ました。世界中の博物館からカマキリヨコエビ属を集めて分子系統解析を行うとともに、形態分類における新たな知見を紹介しています。膨大な標本から導き出される結論の説得力に圧倒されます。

Ogawa, Takada and Sakuma (2021)

Haustorioides furotai Ogawa in Ogawa, Takada and Sakuma, 2021 ウスゲナミノリソコエビ

　 東京湾から ナミノリソコエビ科 Dogielinotidae の1新種を記載。分子解析の結果に基づき、WoRMS（2021年3月22日閲覧）等で適格とされていた Eohaustorioides属 を新参シノニムとして抹消するとともに、この属ありきで定義されていた Parhaustorioides属 も抹消。これによって、ナミノリソコエビ科は 9属 となりましたが、いまだに十分な検討が済んでいないと思います。ナミノリソコエビ Haustorioides属 10種の検索表を提供。SDなので本文は無料で読めます（そのためにSDに投稿しました）。論文の背景等についてはこちらに。

 

 

Ariyama (2021a)

Mucrocalliope ryukyuensis リュウキュウトゲゲンコツヨコエビ

　沖縄から ゲンコツヨコエビ科 トゲゲンコツヨコエビ属 の1種を記載。メリケンサックのような和名がついていますが、”拳骨”部分ではなく背中にトゲが生えているグループです。また、昨年新産地が報告された (司村 2020) ことで話題になっている シオカワヨコエビ Paracalliope dichotomus についても線画付きで報告しています。

　タイのカセサート大学構内から ハマトビムシ科 Floresorchestiinae亜科 の1新種を記載。人工的に造成された池の周辺で採取されたとのこと。タイ国内においてこの属は F. boonyanusithii Wongkamhaeng et al., 2016 と F. buraphana Wongkamhaeng et al., 2016 に次いで3種目とされています。さすがpensoft、本文は無料です。

　大西洋の新海域から リュウコツヨコエビ Amathillopsidae科・リュウコツヨコエビ Amathillopsis属 の1新種を記載。Cleonardopsis属を含む近縁16種のリストと、リュウコツヨコエビ属14種の形態マトリクスを掲載。また、既往研究におけるリュウコツヨコエビ属の写真記録について緯度経度や水深を整理し、考察を試みています。本文は無料です。

 　南大西洋の火山島・トリンダデ島周辺海域のアミジグサ属から 4科6属9種 のヨコエビおよび 2種 のタナイスを報告。このうちヨコエビについては 3種 を新種として記載しています。トリンダデ島はブラジル沖 1,160km に位置し、より大陸に近いアブロルホス島よりヨコエビの種数は少ないものの固有種の割合が高いことが示されたとのことです。7種の落射光写真を掲載。本文まで無料で読めます。

　サハリンのテングヨコエビ科亜科のをレビューするとともに、新属 Hendrycksopleustes を設立。この新属に含まれる1新種と、別の属に含まれる種に対して2亜種を記載。ここ20年の論文で亜種を使っているのはほぼ Labay だけのような気がします。この亜科に含まれる全属の検索表と、 Neopleustes属 および Shoemakeroides属 の種までの検索表を提供。本文は有料。

Carinocleonardopsis seisuiae　セイスイミノヨコエビ

　熊野灘の水深190–195 mから、1新属1新種の記載。Carinocleonardopsis ミノヨコエビ属の設立とともに、Amathillopsidae科に「リュウコツヨコエビ」との和名を提唱しています。Cleonardopsinae亜科全体についてもレビューを実施。本文は今のところ無料で読めるようです。

 中国雲南省からハマトビムシの1新種。本文は有料ですが、アブストにわりと詳しく形態の記述があります。

 

 

Tomikawa and Kimura (2021)

Jesogammarus (Jesogammarus) acalceolus　シツコヨコエビ

　弘前の清水（シツコ）から キタヨコエビ科 Anisogammaridae の1新種を記載。喪失リスクが高い冷涼な湧水中に生息することから、絶滅の危機に瀕していることが強調されています。また、本種は本属で唯一触角にカルセオライを欠くとのことで、進化上も極めて重要な種といえます。本文は無料で読めます。

　ルーマニア，クリミア，コーカサス山麓南西部の黒海北岸地域から Niphargus属の6新種を記載。美しい黒バックの全身写真に加え、プレパラートの透過光写真のみで付属肢の形態を表現し、背面の棘状剛毛についてはSEM写真を使うなど、線画を使わない姿勢が貫かれています。オス第3尾肢が伸長する N. “tauricus” 種群の検索表を提供。隠蔽種の整理に留まらず、種分化の時期や分布を進化学的に考察。本文は無料で読めます。

Postodius sanguineus　チゴケスベヨコエビ

　カワリスベヨコエビ属 Metodius を設立するとともに2新種を記載。さらに ヒメスベヨコエビ属 Postodius の2新種を記載。チゴケスベヨコエビの「チゴケ」とは付着基質の チゴケムシ属（血苔虫）Watersipora に由来するとのことで（有山私信）、擬態しているのか模様も似ています。本種は4歳児が採取したタイプ標本に基づいて記載されたとのことで、そのご褒美を巡って「バズった分だけ◯◯する」方式を採ったところ、Twitter民の悪ノリ便乗が相次ぎ大いにバズり、ハフポスに取り上げられ、挙句に Yahoo! News のトップを飾りました。結局「新種採集のご褒美」は46.2万円になったとのことです。ここまで Twitter を沸かせたヨコエビというのも珍しいです。

　日本人研究者が責任著者となった記載論文で Lowry and Myers (2017) の亜目体制が採用されたのは初めてっぽいです。狭義のスベヨコエビ科6属と、改めてヒメスベヨコエビ属6種の検索表を提供。あと面白いところといえば、体長の計測方法が独特です。本文は有料ですが、「ややこしい和名を変えろ」だの「発見者に献名しろ」だの好き勝手言ってる Twitter民の果たして何%が課金して原典に当たったのかは分かりません。

 　ブラジルからメリタヨコエビ科 Melitidae ウチデノコヅチ属の1新種を記載。既知全種の検索表を提供。本文は有料ですが、アブストに詳細な形態の記述があります。ウェブ版の公開は2022年ですが、出版は2021年11月1日になるようです。

Shin and Coleman (2021)

Ampithoe changbaensis

　韓国からヒゲナガヨコエビ属の1新種を記載するとともに、モスクワに保存されていた Ampithoe tarasovi ヨツデヒゲナガのホロタイプ標本を再記載しています。Zookeys なので本文まで無料で読めます。

　 この Ampithoe changbaensis という種は Shin et al. (2010) で”ヨツデヒゲナガ”として報告されていたもので、全身の色素斑が描画されるなど、Bulycheva (1952) による原記載では読み取れない部分を参照するのに有用でした。しかし、どうやら原記載とは異なるように思える部分もありました。日本でも”Bulycheva のヨツデヒゲナガ"”と”Shin のヨツデヒゲナガ”それぞれに似ている個体が見つかっていたことから、別種ではないかと囁かれていました。私はこれらの種を千葉と岡山で少数ながら得ていて、ヨツデヒゲナガは緑藻が優占する甘めで湾奥的な砂泥底環境、A. changbaensis は紅藻や褐藻が優占する岩礁で得られる印象があります。

　本論文では A. changbaensis の所見でヨツデヒゲナガとの識別点が示され、それに続いてヨツデヒゲナガの再記載も行われているため、両者の同定が可能です。しかし個人的に、採用されている形質には不満があります。手元のサンプルを同定する際には、識別形質として示されている全ての特徴を確認して、慎重に判断する必要があると思います。

　ちなみに、岡山県野生生物目録（坂本ほか 2020）で”ヨツデヒゲナガ”としているのは Bulycheva の原記載を参照して同定した個体で、本論文を受けての学名変更はありません。

 新疆ウイグルの淡水からヨコエビ属の1新種を記載。形態での記載とともに、CO1,16S,28S, EF1α領域を解析し、7種の系統樹を描いています。9種の検索表を提供。本文は無料で読めます。

　イランからヨコエビ属の１新種を記載。本文は無料。

　というわけで、2021年のヨコエビの新種は 56 60 61 62 63 種（2亜種）となりました。

　当方も積み新種を処理中ですのでお待ちください。

 

 

（特記事項）

• Winfield and Herrera-Dorantes (2021) は 、メキシコ湾の大陸棚と深部からカマキリヨコエビ属 Jassa 数種を報告。うちモリノカマキリヨコエビ J. morinoi についてはメキシコ湾から初記録、そして新種として J. mendozai を記載しました。しかしこの種は Conlan et al. (2021) において、J. valida のシノニムとされてしまいました。
• Rogers et al. (2021) という文献で「Hyalella n. sp.」との文言が見つかりましたが、”We will describe this new species after we collect more material” などと述べており、飛ばしのようです。記載行為を含まない文献中で n. sp. という表記が成立する理屈については、全く理解できませんでした。
• クチバシソコエビ科の4新種の記載について情報が流れていますが、巻号が2022年分なので今回は採り上げていません。
