2019年新種ヨコエビを振り返って（12月度活動報告）

　毎年恒例、年に一度の総決算の時期がやってまいりました。
　新種記載のみですが、一年間を振り返ってみます。

　記載者については、論文中あるいは私信で明言のある場合のみつけています。また，旧ヨコエビ亜目に含まれる分類群を対象としております．今年はクラゲノミが2本くらい，ワレカラも3本くらい記載論文が出ていたはずですが，カウントしていません．あしからず．

　インドから ユンボソコエビ科 Aoridae ドロソコエビ属 Grandidierella の1新種を記載．近似種との比較などアブストで親切な言及があります．G. mahafalensis Coutière, 1904 species-complex に含まれるとのことで，検索表を提供しています．本文は有料．



Nakamura et al. (2019)

Erasmopus nkjaf ミヤコイソヨコエビ

　沖縄県から スンナリヨコエビ科 Maeridae イソヨコエビ属 Elasmopus の1新種を記載．ウミクワガタ研究者の太田悠造氏が宮古島の海ぶどう（クビレヅタ Caulerpa lentillifera）養殖場から採取したサンプルを，記載に使用しているとのこと．種小名はクビレヅタを意味する宮古言葉「ンキャフ」に由来するとのこと．形態分類と分子（リボソーム28SRNA，ヒストンH3，Mt DNA COI，Mt DNA 16SRNA）を用いた解析を併用しています．また，日本近海の同属種の検索表を提供．本文は有料．
　約130種を含むこの属はスンナリヨコエビ科最大のグループであり，世界に広く分布し，日本の浅海域でもよく採れます．しかしながら，本邦での知見は非常に乏しく，今後の展開にも大いに期待です．

　昨年より始まった日本産 スンナリヨコエビ科 Maeridae の連載第二弾．西日本を中心に，ミナミスンナリヨコエビ（新称）Austromaera 属 から1新種，カクスンナリヨコエビ（新称）Quadrimaera 属 から2新種を記載．これに加えて，岩手～有明海より タイヘイヨウスンナリヨコエビ（新称）Q. pacifica (Schellenberg, 1938) ，屋久島より カクスンナリヨコエビ（新称）Q. quadrimana (Dana, 1853) をそれぞれ記録しています．アリアケスンナリヨコエビとゴトウスンナリヨコエビ以外の3種にはカラー写真があります．ミナミスンナリヨコエビ属の検索表を提供．本文は有料．

　ユカタンから Gammaropsis ソコエビ属 の1新種を記載．アブストにて形態の記述があります．アメリカ熱帯域におけるソコエビ属の検索表を提供．本文は有料．



Kodama and Kawamura (2019)

Bemlos seisuiae ユウレイマエアシヨコエビ

　日本での知見が乏しい ユンボソコエビ科 Aoridae Bemlos 属 の1新種を記載．紀伊半島の西側に位置する田辺湾沖の深海から得られたもので，太平洋北西部において深海性ユンボソコエビ類の初記録となるようです．種小名は，調査に使われた三重大の練習船「勢水丸」に献名されています．
　泥底生活者らしい細い付属肢が目を引きますが，大顎髭とかいろいろ考慮すると，Meridiolembos とかに似てるように思えます（Remarksでは，新属を成立させうる材料として4形質を挙げつつ，属位についてはペンディングとの記述があります）．小玉氏によると，得られた標本が欠損のある1個体のオスのみとのことで，属を設立するなど踏み込んだ展開が難しかったとのこと．既知の深海性ユンボソコエビ科についてレビューを行っており，分布や形態的特徴などを比較しています．本文は有料．

Colomastix trispinosa

　ブラジル北東部より ツツヨコエビ属 の1新種を報告．Lowry and Myers (2017) により整備された亜目体制に準拠しており，Colomastigidea亜目ではブラジル初記録とのことです．本文は有料ですが，アブストでは近縁種との形態的差異や大西洋産種において特筆すべき形態的特徴に言及しています．Lowry and Myers (2017) 以降，チビヨコエビ亜目がヨコエビだとして，Colomastigidea亜目 がヨコエビなのかどうか，（wikiを除いて）日本語では定義されていない気がしますが，当ブログではヨコエビとして扱います．



Corbari et al. (2019)

Dorotea papuana

　ソロモン海（パプアニューギニア）の深海底より テンロウヨコエビ科 Eusiriidae の新属新種を記載．既知のグループでは Cleonardo 属 に近いとのことです．また，近似の Eusiroides ダイコクヨコエビ属 を アゴナガヨコエビ科 Pontogeneiidae からテンロウヨコエビ科 に移動させたりもしています．本文は有料．




Halfter and Coleman (2019)

Chevreuxiopsis franki

　昨年このコーナーでもご案内した珍奇すぎるヨコエビ，とうとう新属新種として記載されました．タスマニアの深海から引き揚げた sediment trap により採集されたもので，曲者揃いで知られる Lysianassidira（フトヒゲソコエビ）小目 Aristioidea（フカゾリソコエビ）上科 Thoriellidae 科 に含まれるとのことです．第3尾節が退化し，尾節板を欠くという異形の科ですが，触角鞭部の一部が枝状になる，顎脚の基部が拡張して口器全体を覆うなど，本種は輪をかけて奇妙な特徴を有しています．第4底節板だけがいきなり深いとか，胸脚がだいたいみな同じ「ものを掴む」ような形をしている中で第1咬脚だけ指節が痕跡的になるとか，普通のヨコエビでは馴染みのない特徴がたくさんあります．
　「オーストラリアの伝承から名付けられたらいいな」と思っていましたが，フランスの伝説的研究者シェヴローに献名された近縁属 Chevreuxiella にちなんで命名したようです．記載論文は無料で読めます．

Cryptodius sakhalinensis

　樺太から Ochlesidae科 の1新種を報告．この科は Coleman and Lowry (2006) によりスベヨコエビ科（Odiidae）と統合された後，Lowry and Myers (2013) では再び別々のものとして扱われていました．今回はまた統合されているようです．
　Cryptodius 属 全種の検索表を提供するとともに，Cryptodius属 と Odius属 の系統関係について，形態的視点から解析を試みています･･･が，分子を流さない限り，この泥沼が終わることはないと思います．本文は有料．

　日本近海から シャクトリドロノミ科 Dulichiidae シャクトリドロノミ属 Dulichia の2新種と1新属を記載．ホソナガシャクトリドロノミ属 Metadulichia — ホソナガシャクトリドロノミ M. kohtsukai は相模湾，オキシャクトリドロノミ Dulichia latimana は有明海および相模湾に分布するそうです．また既知種に関しては，長らく和名未提唱であった Dulichia biarticulata に キシシャクトリドロノミ を宛てたほか，シャクトリドロノミモドキ属 Dulichiopsis — シャクトリドロノミモドキ Dulichio-. barnardi という和名を提唱しています．全種の検索表を掲載．星野氏による美麗な生態写真も見ごたえあります．SDなので本文は無料で読めます．

　アフリカ西部ベナン共和国のサンゴ礁から スンナリヨコエビ科 Maeriidae の1新種を記載．Quadrivisio 属は，複眼が上下に引き伸ばされて真ん中がくびれているグループで，南太平洋やインド洋にかけて分布しています．9種の検索表を掲載していますが，本文は無料．さすがEJT．

Niphargus gegi

　西コーカサスの洞窟から，Xiphocaridinella dbari というエビとともに，Niphargidae科 の1新種を記載．形態に加えてミトコンドリアCOI領域も解析しています．結構スケールのデカい系統樹を描いているので必見です．WoRMS（2019年12月28日閲覧）では著者の表記が ”Marin, I. D.” となっていますが，著者は Иван Н. Марин氏 なので，明らかに誤りです．本文がなぜか無料で読めます．

Lowry and Springthorpe (2019)

Talorchestia anakao

　ケニヤから ハマトビムシ科 Talitridae の1新種 — Gazia gazi — を記載．形態の記録にはSEM画像のみを用いています．メスが未知とのことで少しモヤモヤします．
　さらに，Talorchestia martensii の隠蔽種を解析し，マダガスカルから報告されていた T. martensii sensu Ledoyer, 1986 を新種 — T. anakao — として記載．しかし，インドの T. martensii sensu Chilton, 1921 を Talorchestia sp. として掲載しているのは極めて不穏．この属の闇はまだ深そうですね．
　新属である Gazia属には1新種に加えて既知4種 — G. ancheidos (K.H. Barnard, 1916); G. guadalupensis (Ciavatti, 1989); G. itampolo (Lowry & Springthorpe, 2015a); G. samroiyodensis (Azman et al., 2014) — を移動しています．また，Austropacifica属を新設し，既知4種 — A. australis (Lowry & Springthorpe, 2009c); A. monospina (Stephensen, 1935); A. pectenispina (Bousfield, 1970); A. serejoae (Lowry & Springthorpe, 2015a) — をこれに含めています．これでハマトビムシ科は117属になりました．
　インド洋から南太平洋にかけての地域に生息するハマトビムシ科の整理を試み，一覧表に加えて各種の分布を図示している意欲作です．Austropacifica 属と Gazia 属，そして Talorchestia 属 の検索表も提供．本文は有料．

　和歌山の沿岸域から スンナリヨコエビ科 Maeridae ノコギリヨコエビ属 Ceradocus の1新種を記載．泡瀬と西表からはトゲナシノコギリヨコエビ（新称）C. laevis Oleröd, 1970 を報告．ヒメノコギリヨコエビ C. inermis Hirayama, 1986 とノコギリヨコエビ C. capensis Sheard, 1939 sensu Nagata, 1965 を含む本邦産4種の検索表を掲載．亜属体制を支持しない立場をとっているようです．本文は有料．

Tomikawa et al. (2019)

Podocerus jinbe ジンベエドロノミ

　沖縄にて，美ら海水族館の生け簀で飼われていた ジンベエザメ Rhincodon typus の鰓耙から採取された ドロノミ科 Podoceridae の1新種．ジンベエザメ1個体あたり1,000匹も付いていたという話で，この高密度はドロノミらしい通常営業といった印象です．Podocerus umigame がシノニムとして消された今，ドロノミ界に日本語の学名を楔として打ち込むことは感慨深いです．
　サメにつくヨコエビは他にいないわけではありませんが (Benz and Bullard 2004)，寄生するわけでもなく魚の口腔内に棲む事例（おそらくジンベエドロノミは水流を得るため付着していると考えられる）は，ヨコエビのみならず動物の寄生様式として珍しいとのことです．NHKのニュースで採り上げられ，大変盛り上がりました．SDなので無料で読めます．

　フロリダから マルハサミヨコエビ科 Leucothoidae の2新種を記載．これまでLeucothoe spinicarpa (Abildgaard, 1789) として同定されていた隠蔽種とのこと．形態の検討に加えて，ミトコンドリア遺伝子COI領域と核リボソームDNA18S領域を使用して分子系統解析も行っています．本文は有料．

　ブラジルから ヒサシソコエビ科 Phoxocephalidae の2新種を記載．属全体の検索表を掲載し，分類の議論を深めた意欲的な論文のようです．本文は有料ですが，アブストにわりと細かい形態の情報があります．　



Ariyama and Hoshino (2019)

Protodulichia scandens Ariyama & Hoshino, 2019　ボウノボリヨコエビ

　学会で予報のあった謎のマスト形成ヨコエビ、とうとう記載されました。伊豆大島の海底に，短いマスト状構造を構築して定位していたそうです。生態も頭部の形態もシャクトリドロノミのそれなのに，身体構造がより祖先的で，尾肢もしっかり残っています。
　Barnard は，ドロノミ類をワレカラ類の祖先系と位置付け，ドロノミ類はドロクダムシ類のどこからか派生したものと考えています。また，Bousfield は別のルートからドロノミ類が派生したとの立場をとっていました (石丸 2002)。ボウノボリヨコエビは，ドロノミ類とその他のドロクダムシ類をつなぐものと考えられ，ヨコエビ類の進化の過程を論じる上で非常に重要な発見と言えるでしょう。


　というわけで，今年は 71 72種 の記載が確認できました．
　昨年よりやや少ないのが気になります．純粋な形態での記載より，分子を見る需要が高まる一方，そのコストや解析方法の確立などハードルが高い状況があるかもしれません．

　なお，Zakšek et al. (2019) は，バルカン半島から得られた Niphargidae 科 Niphargus 属 の32種を比較するとともに，4つに分類した生態特性と分子系統解析を統合して議論しています．論文中に「Niphargus sp. n.」という表記が幾度も登場しますが，新種が記載された形跡はなく，未記載種を解析に加えているものと判断しました．系統解析に未記載（記載予定）種のデータを加えるのはよくあることとして，記載してないのに「sp. n.」を付ける意味が分かりません．Journal of Biogeography おそるべし･･･
